Photography can be taken literally and not so literally. Literally speaking, photography is a document, now used more often to state, “I am here,” “Be apart of my life.”
From what a person had for dessert to wedding cakes, it seems like everyone is taking pictures of their food these days. So why shouldn’t pastry chefs just pick up a camera and take your own pastry photos? This may work for some, but for the majority of people, this will take a lot of practice.
A pastry chef doesn’t walk into a bakery and instantly know how to make crème brûlée — similarly, you won’t know all the tips and tricks for capturing a great pastry photograph or other tipe of photography. However, to me is exactly the opposite, i am a photographer who has entered into a patisserie and who fell in love with this profession. This is me: Ionu, pastry chef and photographer …and graphic designer!
When I hold my camera to my face and look through the glass to see my subject gazing back at me, the world around me goes silent, and from the moment I start my set of images, to the moment I’ve finished editing them, I feel free. I’ve created something. I’ve grown as an artist. And that is my accomplishment.
I love a wild and unusual idea, I love to travel and coffee, I Love the perfect play list and I love to watch the city change with every minute of light.
